Rules & closures
The paperwork belongs to Idaho. The seasonal boundary belongs to the BLM. Both need a current check before Red Road.
Two reopening dates, two different areas
The big dunes west of Egin Lakes are generally closed January 1 through sunrise April 1. The larger surrounding winter-range closure generally remains in place through sunrise May 1. A track across a closure is still a violation even when the terrain looks ready.

Verify the current safety-whip, muffler, spark-arrestor, light, and equipment rules in official guidance.
Fit, training, supervision
Confirm Idaho requirements for the rider's age and vehicle class. Never substitute age for control and fit.
Current restrictions control
Use established access, contain fuel, protect emergency lanes, and check restrictions before any flame.
The map in your phone is not the legal boundary
Save the official brochure and closure map for offline reference, but use current orders and signs on the ground. Cell coverage can thin west of Egin Lakes.
