MACHINE GUIDE

Bring the machine
that fits the objective

The biggest western face exposes every mismatch between weight, power, flotation, cooling, driver experience, and the plan.

Match the machine to the side

Smaller eastern dunes can serve a wider range of capable machines and experience. The western bowls reward purpose-built sand setup and punish weight, heat, insufficient flotation, and a weak fuel plan.

ATV & MOTORCYCLE

Light does not mean low risk

Protective gear, rider fit, line choice, visibility, and fatigue matter. A whip helps others see the machine but does not make a blind crest safe.

SIDE-BY-SIDE

Secure every passenger

Use every belt and door or net as designed. Confirm youth fit, load limits, cooling, storage, and the recovery points before departure.

SAND RAIL & BUGGY

Purpose-built still needs a plan

Verify registration, sound, spark arrestor, lighting, whip, fuel range, and a rated recovery method.

JEEP & TRUCK

Flotation before momentum

Air down within equipment limits, engage the correct drive mode early, carry inflation and recovery equipment, and do not use speed to solve a setup problem.

Rental agreements define a second boundary

A machine may be legal on public land while the contract restricts where it can go. Confirm delivery, permitted terrain, damage authorization, fuel, gear, recovery, and breakdown response in writing.
